QuoteA few days ago i was browsing SR creating a shopping list of goodies i wanted to purchase, Today when i actually got the money i went back to my bookmarks and noticed more than half of the listings were taken down and it redirected me to a page that said "Listing no longer available".I think it would be a nice idea if on that page it would atleast show the vendor ID of whom was selling it that way we know who to keep an eye out on, just my opinion it really would come in handy to have this.I agree, I think it should be up to the Vendor to pick one of the following three options:A) Show everything including Image, Description, Price and Shipping Options or just some of those attributes - have it marked as 0 in quantity either as "temporarily out" or just "permanently expired".B) A page saying the Product has expired and either a customized message saying for example "a new one is coming in X days" or "try this one instead" or simply "this product belonged to Vendor X".C) As is now, but maybe with the alternative of a message saying "The product with the name X is no longer available".I imagine any changes to this system might be hard without attributing new fixed variables to the Listings themselves. Also a Product might be out as described in A) but an identical ( or very close ) batch of new Product could arrive in X days, one could technically have the option of showing how long until it arrives and have a option to pre-order it as well ( although there's a big risk Vendors would create new scamming opportunities through this :-\ ). I've noticed some Bulk Listings which describe that if bought they will try and acquire this quantity from their dealer ( as they currently don't have that much in stock ), this type of Listings is in the Real World called "Non-stock Item" or "Special Order Item".
